A funeral service is a way for families to show their love for their loved one and a way for those left behind to begin the healing process. We are here to personalize each service as each family is unique in its wishes.  The option of an open casket or closed casket is given to each family. It is important to note that most grief psychologists will encourage viewing the deceased as a positive means of seeing death as a reality and assisting the family transition to life without their loved one in it.

A "traditional" funeral service involves embalming, viewing, and the funeral ceremony itself prior to burial.  After the deceased is in our care, and with the permission of the family, the deceased is embalmed by our licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer.  Once the deceased is prepared for viewing, the family will usually view in private before the public is welcomed to offer condolences.  Some families will have a public visitation at the funeral home, church, or another venue and some will elect to have a prayer service and/or time of sharing in addition to the visitation in an atmosphere that is usually less formal than in a funeral service atmosphere.  We are here to assist in every aspect of arranging these services.
