Please join the Hyke Funeral Home staff and the Burdick family at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield, SD, to honor our deceased veterans for the "12th Annual Memorial Day Flag Project."  The Jim Burdick family started this project in 2014 in memory of their son, Thomas, who was a United States Air Force Veteran.  Over 630 American flags are placed at veterans' graves for Memorial Day weekend by volunteers at both Greenlawn Cemetery and St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.  This is a very rewarding project, and we encourage everyone to get involved.  We thank the Burdick family for their generosity and commitment to veterans.  Water and cookies will be provided by Hyke Funeral Home.
