Beverly Fountain, 77, of Redfield, died December 8, 2011 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield, SD.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.
Visitation will be Monday, from 1-8:00 p.m. with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Thelen Funeral Home. (www.thelenfuneral home.com)
Beverly was born September 13, 1934 in Tulare to Jesse and Martha (Zibell) Brugger. She was raised and educated in Tulare, graduating in 1952. On April 26, 1954 she married George Fountain at the Tulare Methodist Church. Beverly worked at Montgomery Ward in Aberdeen and then at the South Dakota Developmental Center in Redfield. Beverly had a soft spot for animals. She was a very loving and kind hearted lady that often gave to the less fortunate. She loved to spend time in her garden, growing things and giving them away. She collected antiques, glassware and dolls. Beverly was very active at the Senior Citizens Center in Redfield and really liked playing Bingo, cards and bowling. She was very proud of the success of her children and cherished the time she spent with them and her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son Troy Fountain of Minnetonka, MN; one daughter Jennifer (Robert) Dirk of Fargo, ND; three sisters: Violet Miller, Jeannine Anderson and Mary Ann Schone all of Redfield. She is also survived by two grandchildren Meghan and Alex Dirk of Fargo and her loyal and loving cat "Cole"
Her parents, her husband, and a special friend Janis Sillins preceded her in death.
