Brian Avery Willis, 60, Aberdeen, SD, passed away December 4th, 2024, at Avantara in Redfield, SD.

Brian was born November 27th, 1964, in Cheverly, MD. He was proud to be the son of Margene (Barnard) and Samuel Willis. Graduating from Calvert High School in 1982, he then attended the University of Maryland. He was an engineer for Goddard Space Center and later worked for Lockheed Martin in California. After early retirement, he traveled back to Maryland. Brian even spent several years living on a boat. In 2015, he relocated to South Dakota, settling in Aberdeen. He worked several jobs and recently was employed with House of Glass. He never looked at a pane of glass the same way since then! A cancer diagnosis ended Brian's time in Aberdeen.

Brian is survived by one uncle, two aunts, many cousins across the US, and several close friends in Aberdeen. Brian so missed his parents, who preceded him in death. There will be a memorial service in the late spring of 2025. He has been laid to rest in the Bonilla, SD, cemetery near his mom's brother.
