Chad M. Williams, 35, of Sioux Falls, SD and formerly of Redfield, SD died June 5, 2010 at his home in Sioux Falls.
His memorial service will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield.
Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship after the service. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Chad was born October 18, 1974 in Manhattan, KS to Ted and Betty (Wintersteen) Williams. He grew up in Redfield and graduated from Redfield High School in 1993. He received his college education from South Dakota State University, Southeast Technical Institute and Black Hills State University. Chad worked for Black Hills Special Services Cooperative in Sturgis, Children's Care Hospital & School in Sioux Falls and Southeast Behavioral HealthCare in Sioux Falls. He also worked various jobs in Wyoming, Oregon, Spearfish and Sioux Falls.
Chad enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends. He loved music, especially the Grateful Dead, bluegrass, and various jam bands. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, reading, and being in the outdoors. He will be remembered for his intelligence, his great sense of humor, and his kind heart.
Chad is survived by his mother, Betty (Mick) Twiss of Redfield; his father, Ted (Shannon) Williams of Redfield; his brothers: Ryan Williams of St. Louis Park, MN; and Brent (Ingrid) Williams of St. Paul, MN and their children: Eliza and Georgia; his step brothers: Dustin Waldner of Sioux Falls; Bryce (Demi) Twiss of Fargo, ND and Chad Twiss (friend Mindy Russell) of Watertown, SD; and his step sister Michelle (Mike) Meidinger of Watertown, SD and their children: Kendra and Dawson. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Lee (Char) Wintersteen of Sioux Falls; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Joan Williams of Redfield; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Liddy Wintersteen.
