Charlotte Lavonne (Cramott) Lehtola, 84, of Frankfort, SD, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at her residence.  A private burial will take place at the Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Norden, SD.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield, SD (www.hykefuneralhome.com).

Charlotte was born on October 23, 1940, in Watertown, SD, to Charles and Laurine (Bunde) Cramott.

On October 4, 1963, she married Walter Lehtola in Lake Norden, SD. The couple resided in Redfield and were employed at the South Dakota Developmental Center for years. They settled in Frankfort.

Charlotte and Walter took a trip every year where they would camp, do some sightseeing, and visit ghost towns.

Charlotte is survived by her niece Darcy (Daniel) Burch of Hayti, SD, and brother-in-law Gary Lehtola of Alburnett, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her brother Darryl Cramott, and her parents.
