Constance Ann Whitley, 58, of Redfield, SD died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Father William Osborn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Constance Ann Whitley was born July 22, 1950, in Redfield, to Donavon and Frances (Schmitz) Whitley. Connie lived her whole life at home with her mother. Connie helped with daycare and had a hand in raising quite a few children in the Redfield area. After her mother passed away in 2006, Connie lived with her special family, Jay and Dawn Whitley and their children Austin, Conner and Lexy. After an illness, a year ago, Connie moved to the Golden Living Center. On a daily basis you could find Donna, Lexy and Maggie Paulson roaming the halls with Connie or playing bingo, which was one of Connie's favorite pastimes. Connie also enjoyed coloring and you could see her pictures on every door at the Golden Living Center.

Connie was a tiny little person with a big heart. She has a lot of family and friends and was loved by all. She will be missed.

Connie is survived by her sisters and brothers: Ron (Bev) Whitley of Redfield; Gary (Helen) Whitley of Redfield; Tom (Alice) Whitley of Frankfort, SD; Donna (Terry) Thomas of Redfield; Joe (Jane) Whitley of Denver, CO; Susan (Dallas) Olson of Frankfort, SD; and Rick (Jane) Whitley of Tulare, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece Caitlin.
