Cordalla Wiedeman, 89, of Redfield, SD, died Tuesday, Oct 27, 2015 at the Faulkton Senior Living Center in Faulkton, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Father Gregg Frankman will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Cordalla Dalta (Tasche) Wiedeman was born in Three Rivers Twp, SD on March 1, 1926 to Elmer and Clara (Kludt) Tasche. She married Melvin Wiedeman in Mellette, SD on October 29, 1944. Cordalla and Mel farmed in Athol, SD until 1974. Cordalla also worked for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator in Redfield from 1954 to 1966 when the office closed. Then Cordalla worked for the Dakota Hatchery & Mill as a clerk from 1969 to August of 1974. After Mel's death in 1974, Cordalla moved to Redfield and worked for the Spink County Courthouse Assessor's Office as a clerk from 1975 until she retired in February of 1991.

Cordalla enjoyed baking, gardening, counted cross-stitching, embroidering, and reading.

Survivors include her four children: Nancy (Ralph) Fehlman of Ashton; Terry (Jennifer) Wiedeman of Redfield; Penny (John) Newbauer of St. Paul, MN and Cindy Fischer of Lennox, SD and a brother James (Gertie) Tasche of Langley, WA and a sister-in-law Lucille (Leland) Strahl of Redfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Kenny (Carinna) Fehlman of Ashton; Kim (Troy) Tsuji of Sioux Falls; Megan Fischer of Sioux Falls; Brady Fischer of Lennox; and Cecelia Newbauer of St. Paul, MN. In addition, she is survived by three great-grandchildren: Abby & Jacob Fehlman of Ashton; and Rachel Tsuji of Sioux Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Gene, her sister Priscilla Burton and an infant grandson.
