Delores A. Hamilton, 84, of Redfield, SD, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Redfield. Her funeral will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Redfield. Reverend Brian Wasmoen will officiate. After the funeral Delores will be cremated and her ashes will be buried at a later date. Delores was born November 23, 1927 in Turton, SD to Emil and Mary (Halfman) Klapperich. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1945 and married Claude Hamilton on June 1, 1947 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Redfield. She worked at National Tea, Red Owl and later served as deputy Register of Deeds before being elected to Spink County Register of Deeds.

She was a member of Red Hat Ladies, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and retired courthouse employees group.

Delores enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Delores is survived by her sons: Doug (Wanda) Hamilton of Groton, SD and Roger (Pam) Hamilton of Yankton, SD; her six grandchildren: Dulcy (Larry) Wipf, Stephanie (Ben) Holmstrom, Brad (April) Hamilton, Rory (Tasha) Hamilton, Sarah (Tyler) Hoxeng and Shane (Kate) Hamilton and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers: Bob (Arlene) Klapperich of Lincoln, NE and Mike Klapperich of Melbourne, FL and her three sisters: Ethel Hagen of Orient, SD; Phyllis Merrill of Kearney, NE and Rosie (Art) Forester of Kearney, NE.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude in 2003, her son Pat in 2011, two brothers: Donald and Phillip Klapperich and two sisters: Marge Moon and Joann McGirr.
