Don Louis Doxsee, 60, of Ashton, SD, passed away at his home on Friday, March 3, 2017. His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD. Reverend Brian Wasmoen will officiate. Following Don's wishes, his ashes will be scattered at a later date. Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Don Louis Doxsee was born November 8, 1956 in Deadwood, SD to Donald E. and Katherine (Wendt) Doxsee. He went to country school until 5th grade and then attended Waubay Public School in Waubay, SD. His junior year was spent in Wickenburg, AZ and then he graduated from Waubay High School in 1975.

He married Becky (Pigors) Felchle and to this union had three children.

He had multiple jobs over the years. He sold insurance, worked at Redfield Iron and a nursing home. He was currently developing land at Waubay Lake. Don enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

Don is survived by his three children: DJ (Ericka) Doxsee and their son Dexten of Aberdeen, SD; Natasha Doxsee of Aberdeen; and Dylan Doxsee of Ashton. He is also survived by his sister, Lucia (Bob) Weir of Waubay; his niece, Miquell Bader of Clarksville, TN and his lifetime friend, Greg Tracy of Waubay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two aunts and one great-niece.
