Donald Nicholas Borresch, 89, of Redfield, SD, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at Avantara Redfield.  As per his wishes, he was cremated and a private committal will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield (www.hykefuneralhome.com).

Donald was born on March 26, 1935, to Joseph and Alma (Kramer) Borresch in St. Cloud, MN.  He lived in Minnesota most of his life prior to moving to Redfield.  He proudly served his country with the Minnesota Army National Guard.  In 1981, Donald married Lauretta Gavin in Aberdeen, SD.

Donald was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, watching all their games and keeping detailed records of their game statistics.  He was a painter and was well-known in the area for indoor painting and hanging wallpaper in commercial buildings.

Donald was an active member of the Eagle's Club in Morris, MN.

He will be missed by his wife Lauretta and their dog Buster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, three sisters, and a nephew.
