Donald O. Knudtson, 82, of Bryant, SD and formerly of Northville, SD, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Bryant Parkview Center in Bryant, SD. His funeral will be Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Northville Cemetery. Donald was born October 18, 1928 in Cresbard, SD to Ben and Minnie Knudtson. He grew up in the Northville/Cresbard area and graduated from Northville High School. Don served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his discharge he lived in various states and worked on the family farm near Cresbard for several years. He has spent numerous years in the Veteran's Hospitals in South Dakota before moving to the Bryant Parkview Center in 2008.

Donald is survived by his sister Gladys Micheel of Stillwater, OK and a nephew Jim (Linda) Hansen of Mellette, SD and other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Myrtle Quammen and Bernice Hansen and his brother Harlen.
