Faye Geraldine "Gerry" Siebrecht, 89, of Redfield, SD, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD. Her funeral will be Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship at the church in Redfield after the burial. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Faye Geraldine was born December 18, 1917 in Athol, SD to George and Jesse (Wilkins) Hoellein. She grew up in the Athol area and graduated from Northville High School. Gerry married Roy Siebrecht October 2, 1936. She worked at Dakota Hatchery and Mill and Community Memorial Hospital as a cook for many years.
Gerry enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing cards and square dancing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending sporting events in the community.
Gerry is survived by five daughters: Janice (Jack) Gardner of Aberdeen, SD; Marlene (Robert) Parker of Rapid City, SD; LaVonne Robinson of Aberdeen, SD; LaVerne Zeck of Aberdeen; and Carole (Larry) Binger of Pierre, SD and four sons: Darwin (Marianne) of Cottage Grove, MN; Dale (Lavon), Ron (Onilee) and Don (Cindy) of Redfield. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, two brothers: Leonard Hoellein of Redfield and Glen (Eileen) Hoellein of Athol and one sister-in-law Melba Sauer of Puyallup, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy in 2002, one granddaughter Janelle and three great grandchildren.
