Faye Waddington, 97, of Redfield, SD, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Redfield. Her funeral will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5:00 p.m. with the family present from 4-5:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.

Faye was born March 30, 1915 in Tulare, SD to Harry and Emma (Hamlin) Wilbur. She attended rural school and graduated from Redfield High School. She worked for eight years for Montgomery Ward and Company. Faye and Dean Waddington were married August 23, 1944 in Redfield. Faye then worked for Northwestern Public Service for twenty-eight years.
Faye and Dean lived at Cottonwood Lake most of their married life and enjoyed entertaining family and friend at the lake. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking.
She was a member of First Congregational UCC Church, VFW auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, South Dakota Peace Officers Auxiliary, Senior Citizens. While they lived at the lake they were members of the Wheaton Church.
Faye is survived by her husband Dean of Redfield and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
