Gail D. Fliehe, 92, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Her funeral will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tulare United Church in Tulare. Pastor Lorah Houser Jankord will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Gail was born August 1, 1922 in rural Tulare, SD to Daniel and Ida (Tasche) Ames. She attended Roeber Elementary School. She received a teaching certificate from Northern Teachers College in Aberdeen and taught school in the Tulare area for a few years. She married Merlin Fliehe in 1946, in Tulare. She attended banking classes in Minneapolis and worked for Norwest Bank for 45 years, retiring in 1975. Merlin died in an automobile accident in 1984.

Gail is survived by her sister Darlene Crawford of Alcester, SD and her brother Caroll Ames of Green Bay, WI, her sisters-in-law Ethelene Fliehe and Beth Fliehe of Redfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Marjorie Flint.
