Born July 22, 1960 to Marvin and Mildred Remily, he was the fifth of seven sons. Gary grew up on a farm south of Doland and graduated from Doland High School in 1980. Following graduation, Gary worked on local farms and with custom harvesters before moving to Ortonville, MN to work with Rausch Brothers. In 1990, he relocated to California and continued working with granite. Gary returned to Doland in 1992 and partnered with his brother Kim to purchase and run R-Place. On March 2, 2002, Gary married Teri Wagner at St Joseph's Church and continued to raise his family in Doland. After 14 years, the bar was sold and Gary joined his brother Doc and Randy Hansen in forming Triple R Farms. The family enjoyed country life on the farm from 2006 until August of 2014. Gary, Teri, and the boys moved back to Doland, into their hard-earned dream home, where he remained until days before his death.

Gary was a proud father who enjoyed spending time with his boys and watching their activities. He is best known for his devotion to family and friends, always willing to lend a hand. His smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Gary leaves behind his wife Teri and sons David, Trent, and Julian; parents Marvin and Mildred; brothers: Lon, Joe (Dianne), Kim (Melanie), Rod (Audrey), Darrel, and Del (Lori); father and mother-in-law James and Deb Wagner; brother-in-law Jim Wagner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by nephew Jeffry Remily.

Special thanks to the staff of CMH for their unfailing support and to the friends and family that stood by our side during this hard time.
