(Krohmer) Robinson
July 9, 1933 – April 22, 2023
Geraldine "Gerry" (Krohmer) Robinson, 89, of Frankfort, SD, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Her prayer service and rosary will be at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD. Visitation will follow from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will start at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Redfield. Reverend John Short will officiate. Following lunch and fellowship, interment will take place at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Frankfort.

Geraldine "Gerry" Rae (Krohmer) Robinson was born July 9, 1933, in Wessington Springs, SD to Albert and Lena (Merriman) Krohmer. At the age of two, the family moved to Canova, SD. She attended and graduated from Canova Public School. After graduation, she attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls. She returned to Canova to work at the Security State Bank for a little over a year. In 1953, she went to Los Angeles, CA, where she was employed by the Security First National Bank of Los Angeles, Vermont, and Hollywood branch for five and a half years. She returned to Canova due to the illness and death of her mother. She went back to work at the Security State Bank.
On April 4, 1959, she married Dean Robinson. They made their home in Canova until August of 1960 when they moved to Frankfort. During this time, they were blessed with 5 children. In 1964, they moved out to the farm where she was currently living.
In 1972, she took a job with the Redfield Public School as a teacher's aide. After 25 years, wanting to spend more time with her family, she retired. She was active in St. Ann Catholic Church in Frankfort until it closed in 2011. She was a member of the Red Hats of Redfield, Happy Hour Club, Harmony Club, Catholic Daughters, and was treasurer for the Frankfort Township for a couple of years. She was also active in the Frankfort Community Center.
She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling, doing crafts, crocheting, sewing, and baking. She enjoyed celebrating all holidays. Her greatest passion at Christmas time was making Christmas goodies for everyone to enjoy.
Gerry is survived by five children: Penney Robinson, Frankfort; Monte (Marilyn) Robinson, Milbank; Tracy (Sylvester) Clark, Sioux Falls; Valerie (Russell) Johnson, Sioux Falls; and Cherie (Clark) Lunstrum, Redfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anthony Robinson, Isaac (Lisa) Robinson, Michael (Hilary) Robinson, Shawna (Russ) Gardner, Jamie (Jason) MacKinnon, Elizabeth Clark, Audrey (Billie) Bright, Vanessa Clark, Jeremiah (Jessica) Clark, Victoria (Darieon) Smith, Veronique (Demetrius) Washington, Jordan (Brynn) Johnson, Rachael Johnson, Becca Lunstrum, Leah Lunstrum, Trina (Steve) Volk, Trenton (Stephanie) Lunstrum; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dean in 2002, parents, brother Merle, and grandson Seth.
