Gloria Jean Backous Delgado, 49, of Redfield, SD died October 28, 2009 at her home in Redfield. Gloria was cremated and will have a memorial service at a later date. Gloria was born May 24, 1960 in Aberdeen to Elden and Patricia (Shorley) Backous. She lived in Aberdeen until she married Jerry Delgado in 1981 in Woodward, OK. They had two sons before they divorced. She lived in South Carolina and Indiana and then moved back to South Dakota due to medical reasons where she has resided in Redfield since 2004.

Gloria is survived by her sons Dominic Delgado of Liberal , KS and Eric Delgado of Clarksville, IN; three grandchildren, her sister Char Backous Kiefer of Texas; her brothers: Doug (Tammy) Backous of South Carolina; Elden Backous of Minnesota; Sam (Nancy) Backous of South Dakota; Mark (Betty) Backous of Texas; and Cecil (Vickie) Backous of Redfield and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Rick.
