Gordon E. Harford, 62, of Redfield, SD, died Sunday, April 04, 2010 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen. His funeral will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Pastor Lorah Houser Jankord will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Gordy "Gobber" Harford was born December 19, 1947 in Miller, SD to Cecil and Freda (Fowler) Harford. He attended country school in Hand county and Redfield Schools. He served in the National Guard for several years. Gordy married Pam Sparling in 1970 and two daughters, Lori and Angie, were born to this union. Gordy drove truck out of Onaka, Tolstoy and Watertown, but spent most of his time in Redfield. He owned and operated RLX Trucking. Gordy and his longtime companion, Lisa Martinell, spent many years together and they had a son Justin Gordon. Gordy owned and operated Stockman's Steak House in Redfield for a few years.

Gordy enjoyed racing cars, snowmobiling, keeping his trucks clean, watching his great nephew Travis rodeo and camping with his family. He especially enjoyed camping with his grandchildren and taking them go-carting.

Gordy is survived by his daughters: Lori (Roger) Gutenkauf and their children Tyler and Morgan of Onaka, SD; and Angie (Brent) Rausch and their children Hope and Hannah of Hoven, SD; his son Justin "Geronimo" Gordon Harford of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by his sister Barb (Jim) Blaedorn of Redfield and his brothers: Warren "Crow" (Kathy) Harford of Pierre; Doug Harford of Pierre; and Jerry "Boogs" (Denise) Harford of Pierre and many nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
