Gregory L. Green, 34, of Redfield, SD, died Friday January 1, 2010 near Redfield, due to an automobile accident.

His funeral will be Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate.

Burial will be in the Lorinda Cemetery near Henry, SD.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Greg was born October 22, 1975 in Watertown, SD to Billy and Deborah (Wilson) Green. He attended Grant School in Watertown before he and his family moved to Redfield in 1987. Greg graduated from Redfield High School in 1994. He served in the National Guard from 1992-1998. Greg married Shannon Casey in 1999. He worked for Senske Construction in Watertown, SD; and Frank Carr Construction, Watson Construction and Watson Farms in the Redfield area.

Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors. He helped as a pitman for Schmitt Brothers Racing.

Greg is survived by is children: Alex, Austin and Nathan Green of Watertown, SD; his parents Billy and Deb Green of Redfield, his fiancAC. Shavonne Manes of Redfield; his sisters: Tracy Melius of Watertown; BillieJo, Brittney and Kati Green of Redfield. He is also survived by his niece Miley Rohrbach, his maternal grandmother Joyce Wilson of Watertown, his paternal grandmother Joyce Green of Watertown and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Louie Green and Donald Wilson.
