Irene A. Miller, 98, of Redfield, SD died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Irene was born on a farm west of Athol, SD on November 28, 1915 to Frank and Edith (Dalhgren) Hutchinson. Irene was raised on the farm until she was 15 years of age. At that time, the family moved to Redfield, so she was able to attend Redfield High School. She graduated in 1934. Irene married Albert J. Goodall, April 20, 1935. They had two children Shirley and Albert, Jr. Irene's husband Albert died in a road grader accident in 1944.

Irene married Manley "Bud" Miller on April 6, 1948. They spent many years traveling while Bud worked road construction. There were many friends met during those years. When they retired, they spent many winters traveling to St. George, Utah, to spend time with their daughter Shirley and the warm winter weather.

Irene is survived by her daughter Shirley (Elson) Hyatt of Washington, UT; one step son Darrell (Ida) Miller of Ridgefield, WA; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her son, two step-sons, one grandson, and one great granddaughter.
