Jacob Arthur Bierman, 40, of Mansfield, SD, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 9, 2017.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD.  Pastor Bret Bierman will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Athol Cemetery, Athol, SD.

Jacob Arthur Bierman was born January 27, 1977 in Aberdeen, SD to Ralph and Connie (Weideman) Bierman.  At an early age, Jacob began working in the construction business as a roofer.  He had no fear of heights as he hung from the top of elevators and water towers to paint them.  For several years, he was a skinner for Beadle's Fur Trading and Brokerage.  Eventually, he owned and operated his own construction business, "JB Construction."

Jacob was a risk taker who lived life to the fullest.  He lived on the edge as he enjoyed racing cars, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.  At the same time, his family will also remember his warm and sensitive heart.

Jacob is survived by his father, Ralph Bierman of Mansfield and his mother, Connie LaRocque of Aberdeen.  He is also survived by his brother:  Leo (Debra) Bierman of Aberdeen and their children, Breanna and Shaun; his three sisters:  Nicole Lohr of Sioux Falls, SD and her children, Jordyn and Carson; Jackie (Scot) Dunlavy of Pierre, SD and their daughter, Josephine; and Jill (Jason) Palmer of Mansfield and their children, Brianna and Isaac.
