James "Jim" Yungwirth, 73, of Redfield, South Dakota died at his home on Sunday, April 8, 2007. His funeral will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.

Jim was born February 20, 1934 in Redfield, SD to Joseph Frank and Anna Marie (Struver) Yungwirth. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1952 and starting farming from that day on. He married Mary Jo Thorson in 1959 and to this union five children were born. Jim loved the farm and ranch life and farmed with his brother for twenty-seven years. Jim married Marcie Miller Crandall on October 5, 2002 in Redfield. He worked for Harms Feedlot and Ranch,for thirty years, driving semi-truck and doing other farm duties that he enjoyed. Jim loved working with livestock, driving truck and talking about old cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Jim has established many dear friends over the years and always was ready to give a helping hand when called upon. Jim will be dearly missed by his family and all his close friends and co-workers.
Jim is survived by his wife Marcie of Redfield, his five children: Joseph (Stephanie) Yungwirth of Westfield, IN and their children: Hagen and Elijah; Autumn (Dave) Spletto of Watford City, ND and their children Christopher (Nicole) and their children: Ashton and Christian; Robert and April; Dennis (Susan) Yungwirth of Sioux Falls, SD and their children: Grant and Carter; Patrick (Leanne) Yungwirth of Lennox, SD; and Cindy Yungwirth of Sioux Falls, SD. Jim is also survived by a stepson Darwin (Becky) Crandall of Eden Prairie, MN and their son Josiah; and one brother Cecil (fiancAC.e Kathy Larson) Yungwirth of Redfield, SD and a host of cousins and Marcie's family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law Ruth Yungwirth and one stepson Troy Crandall.
