Janet E. Marsh, 67, of Redfield died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Fr. Christopher Hughes will celebrate the mass. Janet (Carr) Marsh was born on September 25, 1947 in Redfield to Leslie & Ida (Heppler) Carr. She attended Redfield Public School, graduating in 1965. On October 2, 1965 she married Gene Fountain and to this union Rhonda and Timothy were born. On September 16, 1977, she married Ted Genzler and to this union Missy and T.J. were born. Together they managed several businesses, such as the Waterhole and gas station and the 66 Café. On August 8, 1986, she married James Marsh and to this union Jamie and Jessica were born.

She held various jobs throughout her life. She was a cook and a caregiver, but you could find her working to serve many people in her community. Janet dearly loved her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her children: Rhonda (Mark) Schultz of Tulare, SD, Missy Genzler of Redfield, SD, "T.J." (Cindy) Genzler of Garretson, SD, Jamie (Lauren) Volzke of Mina, SD, Jessica (Jordon) Sehnert of Emery, SD. She is also survived by two sisters: Joann and the late Mike Huber, Edith (Gerard) Gabriel; two brothers Clint (Audry Bond) Carr and Frank (Sarah) Carr. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 8 step children and a very special sister-in-law Judy Marsh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, a son Timothy and a brother Duane and a grandson Jaxon.
