Joshua A. Kimlicka, 40 of Vermillion, SD formerly of Redfield, passed away of natural causes on October 18, 2015.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd will officiate.

Joshua Albert Kimlicka was born July 22, 1975 in Redfield, SD to Leon "Butch" and Cheryl (Pribble) Kimlicka. Throughout Josh's young life he enjoyed spending summers at the family cabin at Cottonwood Lake, hunting and fishing.

After graduating from Redfield High School in 1994, Josh attended college at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and was also a Stroller. Josh loved life in Vermillion and made his permanent residence there. He managed the Charcoal Lounge, which is owned by his friend Tom French. Josh was an avid hunter, he especially loved hunting waterfowl.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his parents: Butch and Cheryl Kimlicka of Redfield; his sister Marie Kimlicka (Kurt VanVleet) of Redfield and their children: Cody, Gabrielle, Emma, Kason and Wylie; his brother Jeremiah (Sara) Kimlicka of Redfield and their children: Cruz and Curry. Josh is also survived by his grandparents Marthann Kimlicka and Kenneth and Phyllis Pribble. Josh will also be missed by his life- long buddy Travis Thomas and his son Jakob.

Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leo "Bud" Kimlicka.
