Juanita was born May 30, 1923 in Callaway, NE to Herman and Ella (Nicholson) Woodward. She married Vernon E. Winters in Dupree, SD on March 15, 1939. They lived in many towns and communities throughout South Dakota. They moved to Redfield in 2002 from Rapid City. Juanita enjoyed putting puzzles together, crocheting, playing cards and bingo. She loved to take pictures and always wrote the date and who was in the picture and where it was taken at. She loved to camp and travel in their RV. She didn't need a GPS, she just needed a map and could tell you right where she was and where she was going.

Juanita is survived by her three daughters: Dixie (Virgil) Kroll of Mokane, MO; Donna (Larry) Sell of Redfield, SD and Denell (Bruce) Sweigert of Ephrata, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon in 2003, four brothers and five sisters: Mattie Alberts, Dorothy Anderson, Arlie Christiansen, Orville Woodward, Lawrence Woodward, Beverly Woodward, Veva Badger, Babe Woodward and Audrey Badger.
