June Rogers, 62, of Redfield, SD died Monday, April 2, 2007, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Her memorial service will be Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Huron, SD. Tim Walker will officiate. Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield is in charge of the arrangements. Juanita June Myrick was born October 4, 1944 in Seattle, WA to John and Marie (Shahan) Myrick. She graduated from high school in 1962. On November 2, 1965 June married Rudy Rogers in Wellington, Texas. They made their home in northern California until retirement brought them to Redfield in 2004.
In 1975, June graduated from The School of Clownology in Fresno, CA. She enjoyed being a clown at birthday parties and carnivals. In 1990, she graduated from Respiratory Therapy School in Napa, CA and worked as a respiratory therapist until moving to Redfield.
June enjoyed making porcelain dolls and many crafts. June's eight grandchildren were the love and joy of her life. She was blessed to have been a big part of their lives.
June is survived by her husband Rudy Rogers of Redfield, SD; three daughters: Betty Sanchez, Dana Rogers and Dawn (Dustin) Schmidt all of Redfield, eight grandchildren: Brandon Kelly, Amanda Edson, Zachary Edson, Taylor Edson, Steven Sanchez, Kyle Sanchez, Nicolette Schmidt and Ajay Rogers. She is also survived by three sisters: Betty (Hugo) Manix of Fremont, CA; Jeanne Wall of Fresno, CA; and Connie (Walter) Davis of Cypress, TX; and two brothers: Joe (Marge) Myrick of Fairfield, CA and Sam (Vonda) Myrick of Tuscan, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
