Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Wright, 48, formerly of Redfield, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at his home in West Fargo, ND. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. His funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Tammy Toepke-Floyd will officiate. After the funeral, the burial will take place at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Redfield where he will be laid to rest surrounded by his parents, brother, and nephew. Following the committal service, lunch and fellowship will take place at Chrystal's Bar in Redfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home. (www.hykefuneralhome.com)
Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Wright was born September 30, 1971, to Gerald "Jerry" and Nancy (Ayers) Wright. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1990. Kenny went on to attend and graduate from the University of South Dakota with his bachelor's degree.
Throughout the years, Kenny worked at various jobs while living in different places. At the time of his death, Kenny was employed at the Case New Holland factory in Fargo, ND. Kenny seemed to enjoy his job and was settling down in West Fargo.
Kenny was an avid lover of the Minnesota Vikings and on game day you would find him in front of the screen cheering or yelling depending on the game. He was a free-spirited soul with an infectious smile and laugh. He was kind to everyone he met and valued relationships whether big or small.
Kenny is survived by his dog Rebel; brother Doug Wright, of Redfield; and sisters: Carol (Tom) Lambert of Redfield; and Kourtney (Trevor) Armbruster of Otsego, MN. Kenny is also survived by his nephew Brady Lambert of Maplewood, MN; nieces: Lauryn, Bridgette, and Libbie Lambert of Redfield; aunts and uncles; and many cousins and their families.
