On October 2, 1924, Kenneth Pribble was born to William and Mabel (Buchholz) Pribble in Tulare, SD. He attended Redfield School. Kenny married Phyllis Laverne Compton on June 6, 1946.
Kenny farmed until 1947 and then delivered fuel oil to many country homes for Stanton Rabuck, a Mobile Oil company, for 15 years. Kenny also sold cars for the local Dodge dealer for several years. In 1969, Kenny started working for the City of Redfield as a City Policeman and then as the Assistant Chief, retiring in 1986. His family will remember Kenny as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, and hard worker.
He enjoyed playing baseball, hunting, and fishing but especially playing golf. He was instrumental in helping build the grass greens at Fisher's Grove County Club Golf Course. Kenny bought and sold golf clubs and was good at golf; he brought home many golf trophies from the tournaments he played. Kenny continued to golf up until age 90. Kenny was dedicated to his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 75 years, Phyllis; his daughters: Ruth (Michael) Beyer of De Smet, SD, Cheryl Kimlicka of Redfield, and Kerry (Scott) Dawson Redfield; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, a son-in-law Butch Kimlicka, and a grandson Joshua Kimlicka.
