Kirk A. Weideman, 57, Panama City Beach, Florida passed away on July 29, 2018.  A family committal service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, at the Athol Cemetery in Athol, South Dakota.  Arrangements in South Dakota were entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield (www.hykefuneralhome.com).

Kirk was born on August 31, 1960, in Redfield, South Dakota to Daryl and Leattrice (Tomsha) Weideman. Kirk spent most of his childhood in Omaha, Nebraska before he moved to Dallas, Texas as a young adult. He retired in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Kirk loved life, family, and friends. He had a deep passion for the things that he loved or cared about. He was always full of joy and had a very carefree spirit. He loved the water and you could find him on his boat most of the time. "He will be so dearly missed."

Kirk is survived by his son Kirk A. Weideman; daughter Nicole R. Weideman and granddaughters Dallas, Dakota, and Daylee Weideman. He is also survived by Beth Weideman, his former wife and friend as well as two brothers, Steven Weideman and Mark Weideman. His beloved 11-year-old Pomeranian, Sissy, also survives.

He is preceded in death by his parents Daryl and Leattrice Weideman and sister Sandra Trueman.
