Lawrence Eugene Conrade was born on June 12, 1953 in Huron, South Dakota to Bud and Deloris (Stemper) Conrade. Larry grew up in Redfield and attended Redfield Public School where he was a student in the Special Education classes taught by Mrs. Luxton.
Larry delivered newspapers and worked at Leo's Good Food before becoming part of the staff at the Redfield Developmental Center for many years. Larry was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In 1997, Larry moved to Aberdeen and joined what is now called Aspire. He moved into his own apartment and worked part time at Herbergers for many years. He made many new friends and participated in many group activities like camping and bowling.
Although Larry's loves were fishing and bowling, his most favorite activity was riding around town on his bike. He enjoyed cleaning and polishing his prized ride. Larry was a Vikings and Twins fanatic and loved to watch his teams on television. He also cheered on the local school athletics teams, watching the games on television or listening on the radio. Larry had a unique, one-of-a-kind personality and will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his mother, Deloris, of Rapid City, SD; his brothers, Pat (Anna) Conrade of Baltic, SD and Chris Conrade of Loveland, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Bud, his sister, Jody, and his sister-in-law, Janice Conrade.
