Obituary

Lavina Mae Taylor, 84, passed away peacefully February 13, 2017 in Little Rock, AR.  She was born April 8, 1932 in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Hinkley, MN.  She met the love of her life, Donald Keith Taylor of Conde, SD and they married in 1951. His job with the Department of Agriculture took them to New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Arkansas, North Carolina, and finally back home to South Dakota where the Taylor's originate. She deeply loved her children Sandra and Steve. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother and wonderful homemaker. She notoriously put others first and was a great friend to many. What will we miss most about our mom? That she enjoyed building legos with her youngest grandson after school each day. We will also miss her advice (even though eyes were rolled), the endless magazine orders, the "freebies", coupon clipping, newspaper articles she felt pertained to us, saved recipes never cooked, thoughtful cards, the "I Love You", the $1.88 frozen meal sales, got shoes?, her worry, endless toe and foot gadgets, trips to Walmart and Walgreens, and of course, those pill bottles stuffed with plastic bags in case of an emergency because you just never know!

Lavina was the youngest of eight and was preceded in death by her husband Donald Keith Taylor, mother Juliet and father Reinholt, four brothers (Earl, Edward, Robert and Herman) and three sisters (Dorothy, Vivian and Bernice). She is survived by her son Steven (Monica) Taylor and their children Zac, Gray and Megan and her daughter Sandra Boyle and her sons John and Dylan.
