A. Lorraine Hagmann, 86, of Redfield, SD died Friday, November 23, 2007 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. Her funeral will be Friday, November 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8:00 p.m. with the family present from 4-6:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Lorraine was born January 18, 1921 in rural Doland, SD to Allen and Edna (Woodring) Burgess. She attended rural country school and graduated from Doland High School.
Lorraine married Delmar Hagmann on September 29, 1940 in Doland. They farmed and raised livestock northeast of Redfield, on the family homestead. They retired in 1986 and moved into Redfield.
Lorraine was a charter member of the Clay Kiser American Legion Post #92 Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, crocheting, fishing, playing cards and gardening.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters: Sharon (Larry) Blevins of Bonne Terre, MO; and Deb (Tom Winger) Hagmann of Rapid City, SD; and two sons: Gary (Mary Smith) Hagmann of Bismarck, ND; and Rick (Terri) Hagmann of Aberdeen, SD. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Dwayne Blevins, Laura Blevins Corrales, Tammy Blevins Brittain, Terry Blevins, Terri Lynn Hagmann, John Hagmann, Jana Hagmann, Chad Hagmann, Sara Hagmann, Joseph Dvorak and Jeremy Hveem; fifteen great grandchildren and two nieces: Betty Ann Wolery of Joplin, MT; and Judy (Bob) Sargent of Great Falls, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delmar in 2006 and one brother Fenton Burgess.
