Lynette Kay Lutz was born August 12, 1954, to Earl and Lorena (Evans) Lutz in Aberdeen, SD. She lived in Aberdeen with her parents and then at the South Dakota Developmental Center in Redfield, SD during her childhood. She has lived in Aspire group homes throughout her adult years, first in Watertown and then in Aberdeen.
Lynette, known as "Nettie" or "Grandma" by her friends at Aspire, had a spunky personality and a quick sense of humor. She loved her dolls and stuffed animals, especially kittens. She enjoyed sweets and Orange Crush soda. She always made sure to carry a purse any time she left her home and looked forward to shopping trips.
Grateful for having shared Lynette's life are her brother, Bruce (Gloria) Lutz, of Plano, Texas; sister, Betty (Jeff) Schirle of Shenandoah, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her many friends and "family" of Aspire.
Preceding Lynette in death are her parents: Earl and Lorena Lutz; her brothers: Larry and Gail; her grandparents: Bennie and Esther Evans; Jacob and Mamie Lutz.
A special thanks from the family to the wonderful caregivers of Aspire who were Lynette's second family. Her life was enriched by the many friendships over the years and the loving care she received.
