Lynnette Sutton, 68, of Redfield, SD, died peacefully, Friday, April 3, 2015 at her home. Her funeral will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. After a time for a light lunch and fellowship, the burial will be in the Bonilla Cemetery. Visitation: Monday from 4-8:00 p.m. with the family present starting at 6:30 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Lynnette was born October 31, 1946 in Huron, SD to Arthur and Jean (French) Hurst. She grew up in Bonilla and was in the last graduating class of Bonilla High School in 1964. She married Gary Stone in 1966 and they had three children: Cannon, Leah and Ryan. They lived in Huron for a few years while she worked at Huron Cleaners. They moved to St. Paul, MN and Lynnette worked at Old Dutch. In 1973, they moved to Wyoming before Lynnette moved to Redfield in 1981. Lynnette was married to John Sutton and they had a daughter Amber. Lynnette worked at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield until she retired in 2008.
She enjoyed the simpler things in life. She was an avid reader and her favorite television shows were "wheel of Fortune" and "Dancing with the Stars."
Lynnette is survived by her children: Cannon (Susan) Stone of Colorado Springs, CO and their children: Chandler "CJ", Makayla and Tyler; Leah (Matt) Schmidt of Redfield and their children: Sarah Hansen, Barrett Nelson, Katelynn Nelson, Camryn Nelson, Cameron Schmidt and Kayden Schmidt; Ryan (Kiley) Stone of Casper, WY and their children: Laynie, Carter and Sawyer; and Amber Sutton of Sioux City, IA. She is also survived by a great grandson Carter and another on the way. Her brother Glen (Mary) Hurst of LaVista, NE and nieces and nephew also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia Raether.
