Obituary

Mae Eudora Igo, 76, of Redfield, SD passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield, SD.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redfield. Revered Tim Fugman will officiate.

After the services Mae will be cremated. Burial will take place in the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD

Mae was born January 10, 1933 in Chelsea, SD to Warren and Martha "Doll" (Roberdeau) Brown. She grew up west of Athol and graduated from Athol High School in 1951. Mae married Lowell Igo on December 13, 1952. She worked various jobs throughout the state of South Dakota while traveling with her husband while he worked construction. Lowell passed away on April 17, 1994.

She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ Church circle and the VFW Auxiliary. Mae loved to read and truly enjoyed spending time visiting with her friends and sharing a cup of coffee with them. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mae is survived by her two daughters: Sherrie and Russell Johnsen of Tulare, SD, and Dora Weideman of Selby, SD; two grandchildren Jason and Jackie Johnsen of Lennox, SD and Shelly and John Aesoph of Omaha, NE; four great grandchildren: Mack Aesoph, Alexa Aesoph, Keaton Johnsen and Khloe Johnsen; sister-in-law, Grace Brown of Aberdeen, SD, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Loren and Linda Igo, of Aberdeen, SD and Mike and Erika Igo of Ashton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell, her parents and one brother Ernest; and a nephew Tom Brown.
