Maida "Myckie" Baseler, 79, of Doland, SD died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Her memorial service will be Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield, SD. Reverend Grace Rhodes will officiate. Myckie was born June 15, 1928 in Turton, SD to Lawrence and Golda (Wells) DeLee. She attended Doland School and married Wayne Baseler August 31, 1953 in Doland. Myckie worked for the Doland Cafes', enjoyed her time as a home health aid, and helped around Doland at various jobs. Wayne and Myckie raised their children and some of their grandchildren.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books and flowers.

Myckie is survived by her husband Wayne Baseler of Doland, three daughters: Wayna Domek of Watertown, SD; LuAnne Baseler of Aberdeen, SD; and Kathy Baseler of Doland and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Clarence and Wallace.
