Mary Alice "MeMe" Nash, 97, of Groton, SD and formerly of Northville, SD died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Groton. Her funeral will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Reverend Donald Barbalace will officiate. Burial will be in the Northville Cemetery in Northville. Mary Alice was born September 21, 1910 in Redfield to Roa and Elizabeth (Galvin) Groft. She attended school in Athol and Ashton and graduated from the eighth grade. She worked for her aunt at her drug store in McIntosh for two years. She returned to Northville and married Harold Nash on March 12, 1931. They made their home in Northville until 1993 when Harold passed away. Alice then moved to Aberdeen, SD until 2004 when she moved into the nursing home.

Alice is survived by ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, along with a host of friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, three children Adonna "Donnie" in 1997, Lester "Bub" in 2005, and a baby boy who died in 1935.
