August 28, 1964 – March 17, 2021
Mickey "Mick" Lee Ryman, 56, of Redfield, SD passed away on March 17, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital, in Sioux Falls, SD. Following Mick's wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will be having a family-organized memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Redfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Melissa Rowenhorst officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mick was born on August 28, 1964, to Meryl Ryman Sr. and Lois (Allbee) Ryman in Redfield, SD. He attended school in Redfield and participated in wrestling and boxing, and later completed autobody and mechanic school. Mick married Linda Beard on June 15, 1992, in Stewartville, MN.
Mick is remembered by his family as being a hard worker and always willing to try various jobs. He was good at welding and autobody painting, and he had great attention to detail. Mick worked for Clausen Sanitation in Redfield the past several years. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage working on vehicles, following in his father's footsteps. Mick was always friendly, polite, humble and selfless towards others. He always treated and accepted all the kids equally he always treated everyone like he wanted to be treated. Mick was dedicated to his mother, always spending time with her and going for walks with her.
Mick is survived by his mother Lois Ryman of Redfield; his sister Jeanne Johnson and family of Redfield; brothers: Corey and Shannon Ryman and family of Boone, IA; and Randy Ryman and family of Redfield; three stepchildren: Beth Minnick of Northfield, MN; Michael Minnick of Ashton, SD; and Shanda Lather of Aberdeen, SD; and 13 step grandchildren; and 15 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Meryl Ryman, Jr., and his wife Linda on August 18, 2020.
