Mildred Harms, 95, died in Kansas City, MO. Her graveside service will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Mildred was born June 14, 1914 in Nassau, Minnesota the daughter of William and Tillie (Komis) Strege. Mildred spent many of her years in the Redfield area where she graduated from high school in 1932. She married Lester Harms July 10, 1937. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Redfield where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. Her hobbies included needlework and crocheting. Mildred was known by those close to her as a woman of great faith and often said "never under estimate the power of prayer".
Mildred is survived by two sons, Leland and Loren; daughter, Linda; sister, Delores; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, and infant son, Rodney; 3 sisters, Maybelle, Wilma, Lois and brother, Mert.
