Milton John Buchholz, 93, of Redfield, SD, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Redfield.
His funeral will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.

Milton was born July 9, 1919 to Edward and Nettie (Miller) Buchholz at Cottonwood Lake, SD. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1937 and married Barbara Bancroft on March 11, 1940 at Webster, SD. They farmed and milked cows, southwest of Cottonwood Lake, until moving into Redfield in 1990.
Milton and Barb were avid fisherman spending many days together fishing at West Whitlock for walleye, salmon and northern. They also fished all the lakes around Redfield, Tulare and Miller.
Milton played basketball and baseball throughout his early adult life and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Wheaton Church before it closed and First Congregational UCC Church while living in Redfield.
Milton is survived by his children: Lorry (Kristi) Buchholz of Redfield; Lynda Wink of Le Mars, IA, Mitzi (Gordon) Schroeder of Redfield and Kevin (Mary) Buchholz of Belle Fourche, SD; his grandchildren: Sharla (Blake) Duerre, Kristi (Jim) Martin, Deb (Jay) Esser, Kea Wager, Shawn (Jami) Groft, Kalena (Travis) Fast, Darcy (Gary) Bodiford, Jeff (Lori) Wink, Tracy (Jill) Schroeder, Karen (Kirk) Harrington, Derrick, Thad and Scott (Erika) Buchholz and Hilary (Hunter) Anderson. He is also survived by thirty-five great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, one son-in-law Larry Wink; one brother and four sisters.
