Milton "Mike" John Knoll, 57, of Conde, SD died Sunday, March 7, 2010 in a grain bin accident near Conde. Mike was cremated and his memorial service will be Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Conde. Reverend Sheila Richards will officiate. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship after the memorial service. Burial of ashes will be at a later date. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Mike was born March 22, 1952 to Milton and June (Ellingson) Knoll in Aberdeen, SD. He attended Conde Schools and graduated in May 1970. Mike married his best friend Patricia Sheppard on January 30, 1970 in Webster, SD. The couple moved to Rapid City, SD where Mike attended National College of Business. In the summer of 1972, the family moved back to Conde where Mike joined his brother Mal and father on the farm. Mike earned his bachelor's degree from Northern State College in May 1986. The couple was blessed with three daughters: Jeanna, Joylynn, and Jolene.

He had a great love of the outdoors and especially snow skiing with his wife and family. Mike will be remembered for his smile and though he faced many challenges in farming, he always found a way to laugh about it. He continued farming with his brother in rural Conde until his death.

Honored to have shared his life are his wife, Patricia; three daughters Jeanna (LeRoy) McKinney, Murfreesboro, TN, Joylynn (Jon) Buus, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jolene (Norm) Fasse, Spearfish, SD; two granddaughters, Riley Buus and Isabella Fasse; one grandson Quinn Buus; brother Malcolm, Conde, SD; sisters and brothers-in-law Cindy & Norman Smith and Deb & Jerry McPartland; nieces and nephews Joseph & Danie Smith, Brandon Smith, Alisha & Shawn Spurrell, Aliyah and Ainsley Spurrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
