Mitzi Charlene (Buchholz) Schroeder, 76, of Redfield, SD, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home. (www.hykefuneralhome.com)

Mitzi Charlene Buchholz was born to Milton and Barbara (Bancroft) Buchholz on April 29, 1944, in Redfield. She graduated from Redfield High School.

She married the love of her life Gordon Schroeder on August 20, 1962, in Webster, SD. Mitzi worked at Spink County Bank, Community First Bank, and worked with her husband Gordon at their family business, Schroeder Oldsmobile and GMC.

She enjoyed fishing, baking, gardening, her orchard, playing cards, quilting, and especially spending time at the West Whitlock Resort.

Mitzi is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Gordon of Redfield;  her son Tracy (Jill) Schroeder of Redfield and their sons: Stefan (Danene Frankenstein) Schroeder of Redfield and Tony (Megan Sherburne) Schroeder of Sioux Falls, SD; and her daughter Karen (Kirk) Harrington of Rapid City, SD and her children: Courtney Lamb and her children: Dominic and Zaden Lamb of Rapid City; Mariah Lamb; and Ryan Lamb, both of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by her brothers: Lorry (Kristi) Buchholz of Redfield; and Kevin (Mary) Buchholz of Belle Fourche, SD; and sister Lynda Wink of Waterloo, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law Larry Winkfather; father and mother-in-law Frank and Mildred Schroeder.
