The family prefers memorial donations to assist in future needs for his children in lieu of floral donations.

Nathan Keith was born in Aberdeen, SD on October 7th, 1984 to Keith Schaunaman and Stacy Sale.  He grew up in Mellette, SD and graduated from Northwestern High School in 2003.  After graduating, Nathan returned to Aberdeen and worked for the city until 2011.  Nathan was united in marriage to Christie (Van Beek) Schaunaman on August 15, 2009 and blended their families, Joshua, Alicia, and Aiden. Their family was blessed with two more daughters, Taryn and Emrie.  Nathan and Christie chose to raise their family in Redfield, SD from 2011-2015 and moved to rural Tulare in 2015 where they currently reside.  Nathan joined his Redfield Energy family in 2011 and loved his job as Maintenance Lead.

Most of all Nathan loved being a daddy to his five children, and hunting or fishing with his family and friends. Nathan was always willing to lend a helping hand and will always be remembered as "Mr. Fix-It" to all who knew him.

Honored to have shared in his life are his wife Christie and children, Joshua (11), Alicia (11), Aiden (9), Taryn (6) and Emrie (4); his father Keith (Steph) Schaunaman of South Haven, MN; brothers: Zack Schaunaman of Grand Rapids, MN, Jake Schaunaman of Huron, SD, Jake Miller, US Navy, and Sam Schaunaman of South Haven, MN;  his mother Stacy (Rich) Sale of Ashton, SD; brothers Tanner Sale, LaCrosse, WI, Chance Sale, Watertown, SD, and sister Jaime Miele of Fort Bragg, NC; and grandparents: Guyna Dehne Westport, SD; Melvin (Maryann) Schaunaman of Westport, SD, Robert (Sue) Miller of Maple Grove, MN, Marcy Gab of Aberdeen, SD, and Mike Sale of Ashton, SD.
