Orville Anderson Kellar, Jr. 65, of Ashton, SD, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Sioux Falls, SD after surgery at Veteran's Administration Hospital. Orville was cremated and his memorial service will be Monday. June 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. After the service there will be military rites at the funeral home.

Orville was born August 29, 1948 in Washington to Orville and Frankie (Reaves) Kellar, Sr. He grew up in Washington and graduated from high school in Washington. Orville served in the United States Navy and United States Marines. Orville married Peggy Christman in Tacoma, Washington on February 25, 1978. He worked for Concrete Technology building barges in Washington. He became disabled and moved to Arkansas before moving to Ashton in 2001.

He enjoyed gardening, camping and pets.

Orville is survived by his wife Peggy of Ashton; his daughter Emma (Josh) Schnabel of Watertown, SD and their daughter Hope; one son Matthew (Leeanna Severson) Garrison of Aberdeen and their daughter Raelynn. He is also survived by his brother Phillip Kellar of Tacoma, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
