Patricia "Pat" Ann (Haven) Mitchell, 93, of Aberdeen, SD and formerly of Brentford, SD, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.

Services will take place on Saturday, April 22, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with her funeral service at 10:00 a.m.  Pastor Mike Kampa will officiate.  After the service, burial will be at the Mellette Cemetery in Mellette, SD with lunch to follow at the Brentford Congregational United Church of Christ fellowship hall in Brentford.

Patricia Ann Haven was born on May 27, 1929, to Herman and Hazel (Boor) Haven in Aberdeen, SD. She attended grade and high school in Brentford, SD.  On June 4, 1947, she married Robert Mitchell. They made their home on the family farm near Brentford.  Robert passed away on September 17, 2001. Pat was a member of the UCC church and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) for 75 years, where she held various offices and was a Grand officer in 1995.  Pat enjoyed having family gatherings, having grandchildren and great-grandchildren around, as well as enjoying the outdoors.

She is survived by sons: Thomas Mitchell, William (Vicki) Mitchell, all of Brentford, and Brian Mitchell of Sioux Falls, SD; daughters:  Mary (Marion) Fortin of Brentford and Julie Reff of Clark, SD.  Pat is also survived by grandchildren:  Bobbi Pat, Tina, Jason, Jackie, Alex, Brent, Blake, Dustin, and Amanda; step-grandchildren: Marvin, Marnie, Kevin, Kraig, and Jennifer; 20 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Hazel Haven, husband Robert Mitchell Sr., son Robert Mitchell Jr. on January 27, 2023, stepmother Gladys Haven, brothers Maurice (Elaine) & Robert (Gwen) Haven, sister Dorothy (George) Thiel, special daughter-in-law Gloria Mitchell, niece Sally Thiel, stepdaughter Rita Vollmer and stepson Rick Mitchell on March 27, 2023.
