Bob was born October 21, 1951, in Watertown, SD to the late Lloyd and Geraldine (Bonfoey) Colclazier. They lived in Garden City, SD for several years, until relocating to a farm east of Tulare. Bob attended Tulare High School with his close-knit classmates, until his senior year when the family moved north of Redfield, SD. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1971. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after, serving during the Vietnam War. After his Honorable Discharge, he relocated to Center Point, IA to work in construction where he met the love of his life, Roberta Jean Knight. They were married on May 17, 1980, in Walker, IA. They made their home in Redfield where he joined his dad in the trucking business, which he continued for 37 years until health issues forced him into early retirement. Bob loved trucking and hauled everything from fuel to grain, taking him all over the United States.
Four children were born into Bob and Roberta's 41-year union. Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, and Papa. He loved all things Peterbilt, Harley-Davidson, pheasant hunting, golfing, his annual birthday bonfires surrounded by the many pine trees he planted in his yard, and spending time with his family and friends.
Growing up, Bob was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Redfield. He was a proud member of the Redfield American Legion and loved volunteering for dinners, BINGO, and representing the American flag whenever he could.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Roberta of Redfield; daughters: Jennifer (Andrew) Weber and their children Wynnie & Waylon of Emery, SD; Angela (Austin Wiarda) and their daughter Brooklyn of Castlewood, SD; Sara and her children Riley, Addison, and Bentley of Redfield; and son Nicholas (Jenna Blankenship) and their children Caleb and Beckett of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by two sisters: Nancy (Kervin) Simonson of Sisseton, SD and Debora (and the late Robert "Bobby") Geramita of Aberdeen, SD; brother Randy of Redfield; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Robert and Eileen Knight, four brothers-in-law, and many trucking and biker buddies.
