Robert (Bobby) Coleman, 63, Garretson, SD, passed away Nov. 25, 2014 at the Palisades Nursing Home in Garreston, SD. His funeral will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. He will be laid to rest next to his mom and dad. Bobby, son of Don and Ann Coleman, formally of Dupree SD was born Oct. 30, 1951 in Faith SD. Bobby lived at the Redfield State Hospital and School from the age of 6 until he moved to Palisades Nursing Home at the age of 56 where he spent the rest of his life. Bobby, enjoyed the little things in life, watching a funny movie, sweat shirts with team logos on them, big fuzzy slippers and sweets if he could get his hands on them. Bobby enjoyed the tasks and encouragement he received from the State Hospital and Palisades staff, especially delivering the mail to fellow residents.

Bob's brother and best friend, Jim, was always there to help him face life's challenges.

He is survived by his sister, Marsha (Gary) Frame, Franklin, MA, and brothers, Thomas (Laurie) Coleman, Bismarck, ND and James (Sheila) Coleman, Harrisburg, SD.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the case workers, health specialists, and professionals that guided Bobby though out his life, you are truly special people.
