Roberta Ann (Bauman) Jockheck, 95, of Rio Rancho, NM, formerly of Redfield, SD, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at her daughter's home, with her at her side in Rio Rancho.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 21, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 22, at the Redfield Methodist Church in Redfield. Pastor Melissa Rowenhorst will officiate. Coffee and cake will be served in the church hall following her interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.

Roberta was born August 12, 1929, to William A. and Johanna (Hofland) Bauman in Vermillion, SD. Roberta graduated from Vermillion High School and attended the University of South Dakota for two years. She married Herbert H. Jockheck on August 14, 1948. They moved to Redfield in 1949. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1998. They spent many winters during their retirement in Sun City, AZ.
Roberta worked as a secretary, was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School for many years, and was active in the United Methodist Women's organization. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting at the church and the senior center. She knitted many baby sweaters for the church mission kits.
Roberta is survived by her son William H. (Anne) Jockheck of Redfield, SD; daughter Joanna (Brian Kassel) Jones of Rio Rancho, NM; four grandchildren: Janne (Corey) Holt, Angela (James) Clark, Herbert W. (Jamie) Jockheck and Thaddeus W. (Molly) Jockheck; five great-grandchildren; and one sister JoEva Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, three brothers, and three sisters.
