Roger K. Schultz, 65, of Tulare, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Dougherty House in Sioux Falls, SD. His funeral will be Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Tulare United Church in Tulare. Pastor Lorah Houser Jankord will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Roger was born December 29, 1943 in Redfield to Delmar and Phyllis (Otto) Schultz. He attended country school and graduated from Tulare High School in 1962. He married Loretta Gavin on January 13, 1963 in Redfield. He farmed with his grandpa Herman and his father for a few years before driving truck for B&D Trucking hauling sheep and cattle. He worked on a cattle ranch near New Underwood, SD and hauled many loads of furniture and household goods to Eagle Butte. He ran Dirt Cheap Auto, Tire and Furniture in Eagle Butte for many years. The last few years he bought cattle and sheep, but mostly enjoyed the card games at the sale barns, and the early morning coffee chats in Redfield.

Roger enjoyed dancing and attended dances when ever he could. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. He was a mason and a shriner.

Roger is survived by his four sons: David (Jeanene) Schultz of Mountain Home, ID; Mark (Rhonda) Schultz of Tulare; Jeff (Vickie) Schultz of Tulare and Bradley Binger of Doland, his grandchildren: Kyle, Devon, Trista, Derick, Cassie, Cody (Karla), Morgan, Gavin and Chelsy and his great grandson Eli. He is also survived his mother Phyllis of Redfield, his brother Robert Dean (Cindy) Schultz and his sister-in-law Lynne Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his father Delmar in 1980 and his brother Alan in 1992.
